Setting up Media Trigger Items in Myriad Playout

Modified on Tue, 24 Sep at 12:40 PM

One of the more powerful features of Myriad Playout are "Trigger" items where you have one media item play other items at specific time points.

For example, you might have a News Bed that starts with a Station ident, then starts playing a music bed that drops to a low level, and you want News audio that is stored in another media item to play once that main bed started. To do this, you might set the intro end of the News Bed to be at the point you want news item to start, then set a "trigger" item on that timing point to then play the news item. This will then play in another player over the top of the bed.

Trigger items are available in Myriad Playout v5, Myriad Playout v6 and Myriad Cloud, and can be set using the main Myriad Playout application or via the Myriad Anywhere web application.
