Configuring Alerts And Monitoring For Your Station

Modified on Tue, 24 Sep at 12:40 PM

Introduction

For added peace of mind, you can configure Myriad Cloud to send notifications to key people, if your station goes off air unexpectedly.

  • Silence Started
This event happens when audio levels fall to a 'silent' level for more than 20 seconds

  • Silence Ended
This event is fired when audio levels have returned to a normal level

  • Monitoring Unavailable
This "watch dog" alert is fired if your station stops reporting to the monitoring system (for example, if a user presses shut down).

Notification Methods

Myriad Cloud supports the following ways of communicating an alert:

  • Email
Broadcast.Radio will send an email to up to 5 different addresses.

  • Pushover
If you have the Pushover app installed on your phone, you can choose to receive alerts directly to your mobile device.

  • Webhook (Advanced)
Broadcast.Radio can trigger a webhook when an alert is triggered. You can use this with third party services (or your own custom web hook) to trigger advanced actions.

Configuring Monitoring

1. Log in to the Broadcast.Radio Portal.

Under Myriad Cloud, click Manage Alerts + Notifications. You can also click here to go directly to the Notifications section in the portal.

2. Choose your desired notification

Click on the arrow button to expand, and slide the Enabled toggle to activate it.

Enter your desired email addresses, one per line. You can click 'Test' to send a test email if desired.

If you have a Pushover account, you can provide your 'Token' and 'User' keys here.
