Myriad AI VoiceLinks - Using placeholder 'Tags'

Modified on Tue, 24 Sep at 12:55 PM

Explanation

Myriad uses 'Tags' to indicate placeholders where text should be replaced with the script is created - known as 'Populated'.  These tags are surrounded by curly braces - { }

For example. this script contains the Tag {weather]:

The latest weather report is {weather}

When this script is populated, the {weather} section will be replaced by the latest weather report from SmartInfo:

The latest weather report is Sunny with clouds later, highs of 25 degrees

Available Tags:

This list contains the current list of tags as of the time of writing, however new Tags are added regularly, so you should check the current list in the Edit AI VoiceLink window.

Station/Show/Presenter Tags:

  • {stationName} - The station name as set in the Edit Station window, or in the AI Settings tab in Station Settings.
  • {stationTagLine} - The station tagline as set in the Edit Station window, or in the AI Settings tab in Station Settings.
  • {presenterName} - The full name of the presenter as set in Myriad Schedule Clock Editor for this hour.
  • {presenterFirstName} - The first name of the presenter as set in Myriad Schedule Clock Editor for this hour.
  • {showTitle} - The title of the Show as set as set in Myriad Schedule Clock Editor for this hour.

Previous/Next Song Tags:

These tags are available for both the previous and the next songs - for example {previousSongTitle} and {nextSongTitle}.

This will skip over any non-song items, so can safely be used even if there is a Link or advert break between the AI VoiceLink and the song you want to get the information for.

  • {previousSongTitle} - The Title or "Display As" information of the song
  • {previousSongArtists} - The full list of artists or the "Display By" for the song.
  • {previousSongSongFact} - The SongFact(tm) for the song if one was found.
  • {previousSongYear} - The first release year for the song.
  • {previousSongRecordLabel} - The record label information from the Song taken from the copyright details.
  • {previousSongArtists(?)} - Replace the question mark with the number of songs ago/ahead you want to check - for example {previousSongArtists(2)} would be the artist names from the song that played 2 songs ago. Useful for links where you want to call out the name of the previous song, or want to tease an song playing later.
  • {previousSongsArtists(?)} - Replace the question mark with the number of songs ago/ahead you want to check - for example {previousSongsArtists(2)} would list ALL the artist names from both previous songs. Useful for links where you want to recap all the artists that have played recently, or will be coming up later.
  • {previousSongAiVoiceScript} - The first available AI VoiceLink note on the Media Item. Useful where you want to read out a pre-written script that is stored on a Media Item.

Previous/Next Item Tags:

These tags are available for both the previous and the next items.

This will get the information for the item immediately adjacent to the AI VoiceLink - for example you might use this tag on an AI VoiceLink prior to a media item that contains a promotional script.

  • {previousItemAiVoiceScript} - The first available AI VoiceScript from the adjacent media item in the log.

Weather/Time Tags:

  • {weather} - The latest weather summary.
  • {weatherFull} - The latest weather in full - this can be very long depending on the selected  SmartInfo weather provider
  • {timeHHMM} - The time as hours and minutes.
  • {timeAsWords} -  The time as words.
