Mass Changing & Mass Deleting Media Items In Myriad Anywhere Pro 6

This article shows how to use the mass changing feature in Anywhere Pro 6 to update one or more fields / attributes on selected Media Items.

You can use a similar process to Mass Delete Media Items in Myriad Anywhere Pro 6.

  • Myriad 6 Playout or Myriad Cloud
  • Myriad Anywhere Pro

Mass Change Media Items

To mass change multiple Media Items, follow these steps:

 

  1. Login to Myriad Anywhere Pro (either directly or via Broadcast.Radio as pictured).



  2. Open the Media Management module.



  3. Select the Media Library option.



  4. Use the Media Library to select the Media Items you want to change. You can use and the mouse left button to select a range of Media Items to change.




  5. Click on the Mass Change button on the toolbar.



  6. Tick the fields or attributes you want to change and select the new value. In the example below we are changing the Primary Category to Gold (tip - you have to set the Item Type to Song to enable the Song Category options).



  7. You can change multiple fields / attributes if required.

  8. When you are happy, click on the Start mass change Media Items button to begin the update.



  9. Confirm you want to proceed.



  10. The selected Media Items will now be updated. It should only take a few moments to complete (depending on how much you are changing and on how many items).



    N.B. You will need to close and reload the Media Library tab to see your updated Media Items.

Mass Delete Media Items

To mass delete Media Items using Anywhere Pro 6, follow these steps:

WARNING: Mass delete will result in permanently deleting Media Items which are not recoverable.

 

  1. Login to Myriad Anywhere Pro (either directly or via Broadcast.Radio as pictured).



  2. Open the Media Management module.



  3. Select the Media Library option.



  4. Use the Media Library to select the Media Items you want to delete. You can use and the mouse left button to select a range of Media Items to change.




  5. Click on the Mass Delete button.



  6. You will be asked to confirm (twice) that you want to delete the selected items. Click Yes if you are sure you want to continue with the deletion. 



  7. Once you affirmed the second confirmation warning, the selected Media Items will be deleted.
