Getting Diagnostics Information from Myriad Anywhere

Modified on Tue, 24 Sep at 12:46 PM

If you are experiencing an issue with Myriad Anywhere, our Technical Support team may ask you to send a 'diagnostics' or ('debug') file. These files contain useful information for our engineers and developers, and help us find and fix bugs.

Generating a diagnostics file is really easy, but it automatically turns off when you disconnect. Importantly, when you (dis)connect to/from the studio, this will disconnect you. If you need to take a diagnostics file from Anywhere Pro/Studio Control, add "/studio" to your Myriad Anywhere URL.

Steps To Enable

1. Browse to yoursite.myriadanywhere.com (or yoursite.myriadanywhere.com/studio).

2. Click on the "Cog" icon below "Remember Me". This is the most important step, as it turns on diagnostics mode.

3. Click "OK" to turn on Diagnostics logging

4. Log in as normal.

Getting The Debug File

Once you've enabled Diagnostics Logging, do what you did previously that caused the crash/issue.

Then, let's download the logs.

First, click on the Anywhere orb menu, then click Options.

From Options, navigate to Help & Support

When you click on Export Diagnostics Logs, a text file will be saved into your Downloads folder.

HELP! It's crashed!

If you've found an issue that is causing Myriad Anywhere to crash, this might stop you from getting to the Help & Support menu.

Not to worry - we can open the back door!

From any screen in Anywhere, type in the 'magic' combination of keys to turn on Diagnostics mode:

UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, b, a

From the pop-up window, click "Export Logs". This will save a text file to your desktop. You can then email this to support@broadcastradio.com.
