Setting up automatic Backup and maintenance tasks for Microsoft SQL Server Express

Attached to this article is a zip file containing the scripts to create backups for your Microsoft SQL Server Express installation.

It also contains a Reorganise script that performs some basic maintenance on all of the databases in your SQL Express installation.

Finally, there is the "Create_Tasks.bat" file that will automatically create Windows Scheduled Tasks to create these backups every night, and run the reorganise script once a week.

These scripts will ONLY work on the computer that Microsoft SQL Server is installed on, you cannot run it remotely.

We recommend you extract this file into the same top level folder that your Myriad system is running from, and that you backup the entire folder to an external drive regularly, so that it includes the main Myriad Data files as well as the SQL Backups:
