Overview
If you have altered the default TCP ports in Myriad Remote Edit Server configuration then you will need to also make a matching change to the Myriad Anywhere Tunnel service configuration.
One symptom of this needing to be done is if you can log in to Myriad Anywhere Cloud, and navigate the log, but whenever you go to listen to a Media Item you see an error message.
Myriad Remote Edit Server Configuration
In this example, the Media Server TCP port has been altered to 7001 (away from the default of 6949):
So the Anywhere tunnel service needs to be altered to make sure it knows to communicate using port 7001 instead.
Myriad Anywhere Tunnel Configuration
You will need to run "notepad" as administrator, so click start and type in "notepad" then right click on it and choose "Run as Administrator"
Once it's opened, change to the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Broadcast Radio\Myriad Remote Edit Server v5\Tools\AnywhereService" folder, change the file type dropdown to "All Files (*.*)" and you should see the "config.json" file. Highlight this and click "open" to open it.
Note: This file is created when you "Install and Start" the Anywhere Tunnel Service, so if you can't see, check that you have completed the steps in the Anywhere Cloud installation document.
Once opened, you will see a "media" section, underwhich is the port to use, which defaults to 6949.
In our example we need to change this to 7001 to match the Remote Edit Server Configuration in the screenshot at the top. It's very important that you do not change any other values in this file.
Once this is changed, save the document and close Notepad.
Restarting Myriad Anywhere Tunnel Service.
To pick up this change, the Myriad Anywhere Tunnel Service must be restarted - you can either do this from the "Services" application built into Windows, in which case just scroll down the list until you see Myriad Anywhere and right click and choose restart. Alternatively you can reboot the PC if thats easier as it will reload the config file when it restarts.
Task completed
At this point you should now be able to login to Myriad Anywhere Cloud and listen to existing items and create and upload new voice links.
