Myriad OCP sending updates via HTTPS fails on Windows 7 with a connection termination error - for example sending Now Playing to Broadcast Radio Player

Modified on Tue, 24 Sep at 12:49 PM

If Myriad OCP is being used on Windows 7 and you have configured a custom or HTTP output that is configured to use HTTPS then you may get a failure message that "The connection with the server was terminated abnormally"

This is due to Windows 7 not having the correct support for certain SSL certificates enabled by default.

For information on resolving this issue, please read this article on the Microsoft Website:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/3140245/update-to-enable-tls-1-1-and-tls-1-2-as-default-secure-protocols-in-wi

There is an "Easy Fix" utility half way down that you will need to download and run to enable support for these more modern types of SSL Certificates. Restart OCP and this should resolve the issue
