Myriad Cloud First Run Experience Walk-through

Modified on Tue, 24 Sep at 12:50 PM

This process runs the first time a trial is activated, or if you login to Myriad Cloud with no content in your system.

  1. As soon as the station deployment is completed (final step of last section), the system will automatically login to Myriad Anywhere and activate the First Run Experience.

  2. The first page allows you to select from three options:
    • Add your own content – this option will guide you through uploading a few songs and a few jingles to get your started.
    • Install the demo Media items – this option will automatically add a few copyright free audio items including a few songs and some jingles to get your started.
    • Start with an empty system – this option skips most of the First Run Experience and allows the station to ‘start from scratch’.
  3. If you select the Add your own content option and click Next then the following steps will apply.

    • This will take you to the final page of the  First Run Experience which will be covered below. But first, let’s look at the other two options we had on the Get Started page.

  4. If you select the Install the demo Media Items option and click Next, the following steps apply.

    • The system will download and import some demo Songs and Jingles (18 items in total). You can see the progress of the download in the top left of the window.

      Picture30.png

    • Once the demo audio is installed, you have the option to finish the process or add your own additional content (see previous steps). If you select Add your own content, the process covered in step three applies.

      Picture31.png

    • If you select Finish, this will move you on to the final page of the First Run Experience which is covered below.

  5. If you select the Start with an empty station option on the Get Started page then you will jump straight to the final page of the First Run Experience with no content added as part of the initial setup.

  6. Whichever of the three options you select, the final page of the First Run Experience is the same, it offers two options:

    Picture35.png

    • Take me to the Launchpad to choose my next steps – this option will open the Myriad Cloud Launchpad page which allows access to all of the Broadcast Modules available. From here you can choose to add content, schedule and work on the station. This is the best option if you have not added any content yet.

      Picture36.png

    • Take me to the ‘live studo’ display so I can start my station – this option will go directly to the ‘Live Studio’ module which is used to start / stop broadcasting audio on your station as well as presenting Live Interactive Shows on Myriad Cloud Pro & Ultimate.

  7. Assuming you click on the Take me to ‘Live Studio’ option, follow these steps to start your Myriad Cloud radio station playing.

    • Click on the large ‘Power’ button in the top right area.

      Picture37.png

    • The system will use the built in default scheduling settings to schedule content for your station based on the content you have uploaded. This may take a few seconds so be patient!
    • Once the schedule has been generated, it will be displayed in the right side of the window (called the Log) and the system will be in Standby mode waiting for you to press the Play/Go button.

    • Press the Play Go button to start audio broadcasting on your station.

To listen to your station, click on the Dashboard tab on the Broadcast.Radio Portal and click on the Play button on the Web Player preview.
